Vesicular Glutamate Transporter 2-rodent (VGT2-3)

Vesicular Glutamate Transporter 2-rodent (VGT2-3)
This rabbit polyclonal antibody to VGluT2 displays neuropil labeling in rat striatum. A western blot of rat striatum probed with VGT2-3 (1:4,000) detects a single band at the predicted molecular weight of ~66 kD. Preabsorption of VGT2-3 with the VGT2 peptide blocks detection of the band, but is n ...Read more

vgt2This rabbit polyclonal antibody to VGluT2 displays neuropil labeling in rat striatum.

rVGT2-3-blotA western blot of rat striatum probed with VGT2-3 (1:4,000) detects a single band at the predicted molecular weight of ~66 kD. Preabsorption of VGT2-3 with the VGT2 peptide blocks detection of the band, but is not affected by preabsorption with an irrelevant peptide (VGT1).

Catalog # VGT2-3

Size: 100 ul rabbit sera in glycerol.

Host: Rabbit

Known Specificity: Rat (Other species not tested. Antigen shares a high degree of sequence homology to mouse).

Recommended Dilutions:

Immunohistochemistry 1:5,000

Western blotting 1:4,000

These working conditions are provided as a suggestion only. Each user should determine optimal conditions for his or her own experiment.

Source: This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against a peptide (amino acids 569-582) coupled to KLH by the addition of an N-terminal cysteine.
